This project was a personal challenge—my chance to dive into character animation, something I’d been eager to explore because of how deeply it connects to behavior and emotion.

I wanted to express the idea that our hobbies and interests shape who we are. To establish this concept, I inserted myself into the video as the main character. In doing so, I felt l could manifest my thoughts and mannerisms to the viewer.

The story itself centers on the complicated relationship I have with the digital tools I rely on everyday. Since the animation was heavily character-driven, I used it to explore that love-hate dynamic. To reinforce this idea, the mouse cursor and I became the main source of conflict—like an animated version of those little struggles we all have when tech doesn’t quite cooperate.
